SECTION 4, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2024]: Sec. 4. A home based vendor shall prepare and sell only a food product that is:
(1) made, grown, or raised by an individual at the individual's primary residence, including any permanent structure that is on the same property as the residence;
Produce that has been grown on the producer’s land located within 40 miles of the market.
Meat that is from animals born and bred on the producers’ land and processed at a USDA inspected facility as well as processed meat products such as bacon and sausage, or products such as eggs, cheese, yogurt, honey, soap or yarn from these animals

All agricultural producers must maintain all products/items sold at market comprising their own agricultural products and not from wholesale auction or retail with intent to resell. We strive to reduce the influx of auction produce and meat to improve accountability and trace-ability.
FARMER/TRADITIONAL FOOD PRODUCERS: greenhouse/gardeners, nut and fruit tree producers, horticultural growers, beekeepers, mushroom growers, and maple sugarbush. fruits, vegetables, plants, plant starts, cut flowers, honey, milk, meats, eggs.
Artist/Craftsperson - For vendors in this category, all work MUST be original and of exhibitor's own crafting or artist's own work. Reselling a previously manufactured craft item will not be allowed.
Products originating from outside of Indiana, mass-produced, and/or mass-marketed will not be permitted.
ARTISTS/CRAFTPERSON: metalsmith, woodworking, soaps, candles, textiles, ceramics, knitted goods, hand-sewn goods, handmade cards, stained glass, paintings, prints, 3D art, sculpture, wrought iron, jewelry and crafts)
Community Organization/Non-Profit - Community Organizations only dispensing information and not selling food or other items for a profit.
Home Based Food Vendor(Homemade food/ product)/Commerical Kitchen Prepared Food - SECTION 19. IC 16-42-5.3-4, AS ADDED BY P.L.49-2022,
SECTION 4, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2024]: Sec. 4. A home based vendor shall prepare and sell only a food product that is:
(1) made, grown, or raised by an individual at the individual's primary residence, including any permanent structure that is on the same property as the residence;
Requires a Serve Safe Food Handlers Certificate for HBV only.
HOME BASED FOOD: bakers, confectioners, coffee bean roasters, jams/jellies/preserves, brewers, vintners, teas, tinctures, herbs, fruit syrups, sauces, pet treats and freeze dried candy. Home-based vendor foods and foods prepared in a commercial kitchen.
Prepared Food on Site/Food Truck - Food trucks & prepared food on site are required to have a Madison County Food Permit from Madison County Board of Health.
Vendors offer freshly made food and drinks available for sale and immediate consumption on-site at PFCHF or PIFM. These products may be hot or cold ready-to-eat foods or drinks under a Madison County Board of Health Department permit.
